The Interstellar Federation of Species is a collective of alien species introduced to humanity by the Outsiders in April of 2298.
Informed by the Outsiders of a fleet of alien ships that was planning to invade human and Jinu space, thus disrupting their production capabilities, the Outsiders sent a small group of human pilots in a first strike against the IFS fleet, destroying it.
This began a war that is still in effect today, even though the IFS assaults are now mostly held off directly by the Outsiders.
Little is known about the IFS themselves, beyond that there are more than two species making up the collective.
The exact number of species within it is unknown.
The physiology or description of any of the species are unknown.
The location of their space is unknown beyond that it is somewhere Galactic Spinward of Known Space.
